Job description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Python Django and React to lead a new development team. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for mentoring junior developers, ensuring technical excellence, and driving key features to support our scaling product. You will collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders but will also have autonomy to introduce new processes and technologies that align with our goals.
This is an exciting opportunity to build a team from the ground up, challenge the status quo, and drive innovation. You will report to the Head of Engineering and play a key role in shaping the future of our product.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of end-to-end features from design to deployment using Python Django for the backend and React for the frontend.
Mentor junior developers, offering guidance, code reviews, and support for technical challenges.
Collaborate with the existing engineering team and the product team to integrate features and meet sprint deadlines (SCRUM-based).
Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization in the current tech stack and processes.
Ensure high code quality, reliability, and performance of the software through regular testing and best practices.
Contribute to architecture discussions, technical design, and help shape the roadmap for scaling the platform.
Act as the team’s Scrum Master, conducting sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and guiding the team through agile best practices.
Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks relevant to the tech stack.
Qualifications & Skills
8+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
Expertise in Python Django for backend development.
Strong proficiency in React for frontend development.
Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of REST APIs, WebSockets, and other web technologies.
Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Experience working in agile environments (SCRUM, Kanban).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams.
Preferred
Experience in setting up and scaling teams in distributed environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Previous experience as a Scrum Master is desirable.
