Job Description: Prompt Engineer at Scogo.AI
Scogo.AI is looking for a passionate and innovative Prompt Engineer to join our team and optimize our AI workflows. Your expertise will help shape the way users interact with AI, enhancing usability, accuracy, and contextual understanding. This role is pivotal in bridging technical capabilities with real-world applications, directly influencing human-AI interactions within our dynamic startup environment.
Position: Prompt Engineer (Full Time)

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and refine prompts to improve the accuracy, usefulness, and contextual appropriateness of AI responses.
Create and implement rigorous testing protocols, including A/B testing frameworks, to evaluate prompt performance across diverse scenarios and user profiles.
Analyze outputs from AI systems to identify areas for enhancement, addressing edge cases and ensuring robust responses.
Develop strategies to minimize biases, hallucinations, and limitations inherent in large language models (LLMs).
Collaborate closely with product managers to translate user needs into effective prompt engineering solutions.
Work closely with peer engineers to optimize model performance through advanced prompt techniques.
Curate and maintain a comprehensive library of prompt templates, best practices, and version-controlled prompts for varied use cases.
Stay informed on cutting-edge developments in prompt engineering, LLMs, competitors, market trends, and relevant AI technologies.
Create comprehensive documentation and internal training materials to support effective AI utilization across teams.
Contribute actively to AI safety, ethics, and governance through the development of guidelines and safeguards.
Experiment with CoT and CoD techniques and bring them to live in production.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related field (equivalent professional experience also accepted).
1+ years of hands-on experience in natural language processing (NLP), computational linguistics, or similar, with at least 1 year specifically in prompt engineering.
Proven ability to design effective prompts yielding consistent, high-quality AI outputs.
Deep understanding of large language models (e.g., GPT-4o, Claude, DeepSeek R1), including strengths, limitations, and operational mechanisms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience systematically testing, optimizing, and refining prompts.
Excellent writing and communication skills, with precision and clarity.
Proficiency in programming (Python preferred) for automating prompt tests, integrating APIs, and performing analytical evaluations.
Familiarity with prompt management tools, version control systems (e.g., Git, PromptLayer, Langsmith), and prompt optimization frameworks.
Preferred Skills:
Experience applying AI to enterprise environments, with an understanding of business-centric use cases.
Familiarity with user experience design (UX) or human-computer interaction (HCI) principles.
Knowledge of advanced prompting techniques (few-shot learning, chain-of-thought, retrieval-augmented generation).
Experience with AI model evaluation frameworks and metrics.
Understand in fine-tuning or deploying large language models.
Understanding of ethical AI principles, safety practices, and responsible AI methodologies.
Experience in technical writing, content strategy, or information architecture.
Involvement in AI alignment, safety exercises, or red-teaming activities.
