Software Development Engineer III – Java

We’re hiring an SDE III (Java) for one of the most respected, product-led tech companies in the Omnichannel space — a brand known for solving complex problems at scale with millions of active users.
This is a high-impact, platform-heavy role where you’ll be part of a world-class engineering team solving distributed systems problems, designing scalable microservices, and working in a modern cloud-native environment.

What You’ll Do
As a Software Development Engineer III, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
Build and optimize RESTful APIs to support product and platform requirements
Work with Docker and other containerization tools to streamline deployments
Implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
Manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
Work with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases depending on use-case
Contribute to distributed system design for high availability and performance
Collaborate across teams to translate business needs into tech solutions
What We’re Looking For
6–10 years of backend engineering experience
Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
Deep understanding of Microservices architecture
Experience building and managing REST APIs
Proficiency in Docker for containerization
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Cloud exposure — AWS or GCP preferred
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ for async communication
Experience with distributed systems at scale
Nice-to-Have
Familiarity with API gateways (e.g., AWS API Gateway)
DevOps understanding and exposure to monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, etc.)
Experience in performance tuning and secure coding practices
Technical documentation skills
Leadership or mentorship experience
E-commerce or retail experience
