Flutter Developer

We're seeking an exceptional Technical Lead to own and drive our mobile app development. This app is the critical interface between users and their AI-enhanced second brain, requiring sophisticated engineering to deliver a seamless, intuitive experience. As a core team member, you'll build and lead our mobile engineering team while collaborating closely with our AI, firmware, and backend teams to create a revolutionary product.
Primary Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Development
Architect and implement our Flutter-based mobile app with a focus on performance and user experience
Make critical technical decisions around app architecture, state management, and scalability
Lead development of complex AI-integrated features including real-time voice processing, insights visualization, and knowledge retrieval
Ensure exceptional app performance, reliability, and battery efficiency across iOS and Android platforms
Own the entire mobile development lifecycle including CI/CD, testing, and deployment strategies
Bridge between Flutter implementation and native capabilities when necessary
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of mobile developers with diverse skill sets
Drive engineering best practices, code quality standards, and technical documentation
Actively participate in hiring and team development processes
Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
Balance technical debt with feature delivery in a fast-paced startup environment
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with AI and backend teams to integrate advanced features and ensure seamless data flow
Partner with product and design teams to translate user needs into technical implementations
Contribute to product strategy and technical roadmap discussions
Collaborate with firmware team to optimize wearable-to-mobile communication protocols

Required Experience & Skills
Technical Expertise
3-4 years of mobile app development experience across multiple platforms
Strong experience with Flutter and Dart, including state management solutions
Solid foundation in native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) development
Experience integrating native functionality into cross-platform apps
Deep understanding of mobile app architecture patterns and their trade-offs
Expertise in performance optimization, memory management, and battery efficiency
Experience building offline-first applications with robust sync mechanisms
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for mobile applications
Nice to Have
Experience integrating AI/ML models into mobile applications
Knowledge of BLE and other wireless communication protocols for wearable tech
Experience with real-time audio processing or speech recognition
Background in building products with sophisticated data visualization
Understanding of privacy and security best practices for sensitive user data
Open source contributions or developer community involvement
