About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and customize WordPress Websites: Build responsive and user-friendly websites using WordPress. Customize themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
· Website Maintenance: Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance of existing WordPress sites. Troubleshoot and resolve website issues as they arise.
· Performance Optimization: Optimize website performance, including speed, security, and SEO best practices. Optimizing websites for search engines. Implementing SEO best practices, ensuring websites are fast, secure, and follow Google standards.
· Building the website's back end, handling databases, and ensuring proper integration
· Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure seamless project delivery.
· Content Management: Assist in migrating, setting up, and organising website content as required.
· Testing and Debugging: Test websites on various browsers and devices to ensure compatibility and resolve bugs or issues.
· Client Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring a smooth post-launch experience.
Skills Required: Design & Development Skills
· Expertise in web design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.).
· Strong understanding of UI/UX principles.
· Ability to design clean, intuitive, and modern layouts.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Wordpress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. Experience with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or similar
· Front-End: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React, Vue.js, Angular).
· Back-End: Familiarity with PHP, Ruby, Python, or Node.js.
Requirements:
· Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
· Responsive Design: Ability to create responsive designs that work across all devices.
· Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
