Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Reverse Engineering using scanned data to create accurate 3D models. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with 3D scan data, point clouds, and mesh-to-CAD modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret 3D scanned data (point clouds, mesh data) for reverse engineering projects.
Create high-quality, parametric 3D CAD models using scanned data.
Clean and process mesh data to prepare it for CAD reconstruction.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality.
Modify existing CAD models based on new scan data or design requirements.
Ensure compliance with quality and dimensional standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with reverse engineering using 3D scanned data.
Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo, Siemens NX, CATIA, Solidworks or similar.
Experience with reverse engineering tools like Geomagic Design X, PolyWorks, or MeshLab is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of 3D scanning technologies (laser, structured light, CMM, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Background in Mechanical Engineering or related field (B. Tech/Diploma).
Familiarity with tolerance stack-up and DFM/DFA principles.
Experience working with automotive, aerospace, or industrial components is a plus.
