About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Lead Software Engineer to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of our AI-powered platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Spring Boot, React.js, React Native, and AI/ML. You will lead a team of developers, contribute across the full stack, and work on integrating cutting-edge technologies such as Kafka, AI/ML models, and Video Analytics into scalable microservices and mobile-first solutions. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys building innovative products from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of scalable backend microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot
Oversee development of responsive web apps in React.js and cross-platform mobile apps in React Native
Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD processes and scalable cloud deployments on AWS/Kubernetes
Design and manage database schemas and optimize data operations for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
Integrate Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time data streaming and processing
Mentor and manage a team of engineers and interns, conducting code reviews and promoting best practices
Work closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent features and model inferences into the application
Participate in architectural discussions and help drive technology decisions aligned with business goals
Ensure application security, performance, and uptime in a cloud-native environment
Must-Have Skills:
professionals with 6 to 10 years of industry experience, preferably with a background in product startups.
5+ years of hands-on experience in Java Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
Strong proficiency in React.js and React Native (web & mobile development)
AI/ML knowledge – using pre-trained models for inference
Solid experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL – data modelling and query optimization
Expertise in MongoDB and handling document-based data
Familiar with Kafka (producer & consumer) and event-driven systems, WebRTC, WebSocket protocols.
Experience deploying on AWS Cloud, EC2, S3, RDS, EKS/Kubernetes
CI/CD implementation experience
Must have proven experience in building scalable products and infrastructure on Video driven platforms
Good to Have:
API Gateway experience (Kong Konnect or similar)
Exposure to Video Analytics or Computer Vision
Experience in building mobile apps from scratch
Familiarity with Low-code and Agentic workflow platforms
Previous startup experience is a big plus!

Experience in leading and mentoring a team of senior engineers and interns
Strong problem-solving mindset, proactive attitude, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
