Designing Solutions:
• Apply technical knowledge to drive outcomes for customers.
• Ability to work and problem solve independently on initiatives that align to the broader software engineering strategy.
• Proficient at designing solutions within core framework of software products within the team.
• Participate in low level design for the product area within the Team.
• Designing, building, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and modules based on best practices.
• Assisting in the design, configuration, customization, development, and testing of ServiceNow applications, specifically focused on Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Security Operations (SecOps), including these applications:
• IRM - Policy and Compliance Management
• IRM - Risk Management
• IRM - Vendor Risk Management
• IRM - Audit Management
• SecOps – Vulnerability Response
• Providing support and/or troubleshooting for existing ServiceNow applications, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Knowledge Management.
• Documenting development work, creating technical documentation, and participating in knowledge-sharing activities.

Collaborating within the Team:
• Participate in team’s collaboration sessions to provide technical expertise to solve a problem/remove technical roadblocks for the team.
• Participate in product planning and implementation, helping teams understand and decompose work.
• Working with stakeholders to understand and gather requirements for ServiceNow development projects.
• Ensures data quality under the guidance of a more senior team member or manager.
• Participating in quality assurance testing and debugging of ServiceNow applications.

DevOps:
• Staying current with the latest ServiceNow features, functionalities, and best practices.
• Works on most phases of application development independently but works under the direction of a more senior team member or manager.


Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS, mathematics, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, including application development, configuration, and customization.
• Experience configuring, implementing, and/or supporting ServiceNow modules, including the following in order of preference: Integrated Risk Management (IRM) (Policy and Compliance Management, Risk Management, Vendor Risk Management, Audit Management); Security Operations-Vulnerability Response; Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management; Service Catalog, Service Portal, and/or CMDB.
• Solid understanding of databases.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Experience developing user stories via refinement.
• Experience with test case development, automation, and execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
• ServiceNow development experience of workflows, business rule, client script, script include, UI policies, security rules, etc.
• Experience with other scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or AngularJS.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations, such as LDAP, SSO, or other third-party applications.
• Understanding of database design and data modeling concepts.
• ServiceNow upgrades and patch management experience.
• Demonstrated deep expertise with one or more Information Security domains.
• Understanding of Information Security policies, standards, processes, and risk appetites.
• ITIL Certification.
