Technical Lead
Reporting to
Engineering Manager

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:
Coach and mentor - developing and coaching team of best technical talent in the industry
Design, develop, test, release and maintain components of Punch product
Build usable software, released at high quality, runs at scale and is adopted by customers
Learn to scale features to handle 2x ~ 4x growth every year and manage code that has to deal with millions of records, and terabytes of data
Play key role in development and design decisions, building toward an efficient micro service distributed architecture.

What We’re Looking For:
9+ years of software engineering experience.
Completely hands-on skill set in ROR
Excellent design and coding skills in: ROR(must), Golang
Development experience using Java, C# or any other language preferred.
Strong computer science fundamentals (Design Patterns, DS & Algos, Operating Systems)
Databases: Exposure to handling large volumes of data in both relational and NoSQL databases.
Complex problem-solving skills and hands on attitude
Exposure to micro services architecture, platform migration to a new architecture.
Knowledge and exposure to AWS/similar cloud, cost optimization, multi-region deployment
Web Technologies: HTTP Life cycle, REST hands-on (must), Caching, Messaging Technologies, API security etc
Experience building large scale performant enterprise applications and scaling them.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
