Data Engineer/Power BI Developer
Job Overview
We are seeking a Power BI Developer who has Data Engineer expertise with 3-4 years of experience to design, build, and manage scalable data solutions and intuitive analytics tools. The ideal candidate will have expert-level Power BI skills and strong data engineering expertise, enabling them to transform raw data into actionable insights while ensuring governance, performance, and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Solution Architecture
• Architect end-to-end data solutions aligned with organizational goals, including data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting frameworks.
• Develop and maintain robust data models (star/snowflake schemas) to support scalable reporting and analytics.
Power BI Development
• Design, deploy, and manage organization-wide Power BI applications, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Create interactive, user-friendly reports and dashboards tailored to stakeholder needs.
• Optimize Power BI performance (DAX, query folding, aggregations) for large datasets.
Data Engineering Expertise
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across enterprise databases and systems.
• Maintain ETL/ELT workflows for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Expert with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and modern data stacks (e.g., Databricks).
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Educate non-technical stakeholders on data utilization strategies and self-service analytics tools.
Performance Optimization
• Continuously monitor and upgrade systems to enhance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks in data pipelines, queries, and dashboards.
• Lead and mentor BI development teams, fostering best practices in data engineering and visualization.
Required Skills
Technical Expertise
• Power BI Mastery: Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, dataflows, and Power BI Service (workspaces, gateways, deployment pipelines).
• Data Engineering: Strong knowledge of SQL, database management, and ETL processes.
• Data Modeling: Expertise in designing relational and multidimensional data models.
• Analytical Tools: Advanced skills in data analysis, visualization, and SQL query optimization.
Soft Skills
