Grand Step is a leading footwear buying house specializing in sourcing, development, and production management for global brands. We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to design and implement a customized software solution that will streamline our order management, development tracking, and sample room operations.
Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Software Developer to create an in-house software system that will:
- Facilitate order raising and tracking with factories.
- Manage new and previous development images (tech packs, sketches, prototypes).
- Upload and organize styling details (materials, colors, specifications).
- Track sample orders and monitor sample room workflows.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing ERP, inventory management, order-processing systems, preferably in the footwear or apparel industry with having some experience to work with AI technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy a customized software solution tailored to footwear product development and order management.
- Create a user-friendly interface for raising purchase orders, tracking developments, and managing samples.
- Implement a secure database to store product images, tech packs, and material details.
- Integrate features for real-time updates, reporting, and notifications.
- Ensure seamless data migration from existing systems (if any).
- Provide training and support to the team for smooth adoption.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: -
- 5+ years in software development (web or desktop applications).
- Proficiency in C#, React, Python, Java, or PHP (backend development).
- Experience with database management (SQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud storage (AWS, Google Cloud) and API integrations.
- Knowledge & experience of new AI tech to develop and manage the software's.
- Preferred: -
- Prior experience in ERP, inventory, or order management systems.
- Proficiency in C#, React
- Understanding of footwear/apparel product development processes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
