About the Role
High Design Studio is looking for a Senior Web Developer to join their growing team, and plan, coordinate and keep the projects on track.
Location: Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi
Timings: 9am to 5:30pm- Monday to Friday
Vacations: 1 week summer vacation, 1 week winter vacation, 1 week Diwali vacation
Job description
As a Senior Web Developer, you are responsible for developing high-quality, custom websites and web applications. You'll work with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js and React, but you'll also be busy developing custom WordPress themes and plugins. Together with our multidisciplinary team, you will take digital projects to the next level and proactively think along about technical solutions, UX, performance and scalability.
Responsibilities
● Develop and maintain custom websites and web applications using JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
● Build custom WordPress themes and plugins with a focus on performance, security, and user experience.
● Contribute technically throughout the development process from concept to delivery.
● Provide scalable and maintainable code according to best practices.
● Assist in drafting technical documentation and project planning.
● Review code, mentor junior developers, and ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
Job requirements
● At least 2 years of experience as a web developer, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role
● Extensive experience with JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, React
● Extensive experience with WordPress development, including building custom themes and plugins
● Knowledge of PHP and MySQL
● Experience with version control (e.g., Git)
● Understanding RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems
● Grondige kennis van HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/LESS), responsive en accessible design
Nice-to-Have Skills
● Experience with headless CMS solutions (such as WordPress + GraphQL/REST API).
● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Docker).
● Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce solutions.
● Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, etc.).
● Skills in performance optimization (Google Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals).
● Affinity with UX/UI design.
● Knowledge of security best practices in web development.
