About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our growing cloud engineering team. This role involves building and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, YAML, and Terraform. You'll collaborate closely with developers, architects, and security teams to enable continuous delivery and automation for applications hosted on Azure App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, and SQL Server, with strong emphasis on networking and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for Azure resources.
Deploy and manage applications in Azure App Service, Azure Function Apps, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Configure and manage Azure SQL Server instances and associated data pipelines.
Plan and implement secure and scalable Azure networking solutions including VNets, subnets, NSGs, and private endpoints.
Monitor infrastructure and application performance, and troubleshoot issues in production and staging environments.
Implement DevSecOps best practices, including secrets management, policy enforcement, and role-based access control.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
Requirements:
Proven experience with Azure DevOps and writing multi-stage YAML pipelines.
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for deploying Azure resources.
Solid experience with Azure App Services, Function Apps, and AKS.
Working knowledge of Azure SQL Server configuration, access management, and deployment automation.
Proficiency in Azure networking concepts: VNets, subnets, NSGs, firewalls, and DNS.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
Good understanding of source control systems like Git.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Prometheus/Grafana.
Familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
Knowledge of security and compliance best practices in cloud environments.
Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305) are a plus.
