As we expand our ERP practice, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Odoo Technical Head to build and lead a best-in-class Odoo delivery team.
The Role: Odoo Practice Lead
As the Odoo Technical Head, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the architecture, development, and technical quality of all Odoo projects at SoftBay. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide the team, interface with clients, and help shape the future of our Odoo practice.
What You’ll Do
Lead the Odoo technical practice: Define development standards, architecture patterns, and code quality benchmarks.
Design scalable solutions: Architect Odoo customizations, integrations, and modules that meet business needs.
Client engagement: Work directly with clients to gather requirements, propose solutions, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
Team management: Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and manage technical delivery across multiple projects.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with project managers, business analysts, and functional consultants to ensure seamless delivery.
Innovation and R&D: Stay ahead of new Odoo releases and emerging ERP trends to drive innovation within the team.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 7 years of total experience, with at least 4 years of hands-on Odoo development.
Proven leadership in building and scaling Odoo teams.
Deep understanding of the Odoo ORM, API, and module development.
Expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, and Odoo framework (v12 to v17).
Experience with Odoo.sh, Odoo Enterprise, and custom module development.
Strong knowledge of system integrations via REST APIs and third-party tools.
Excellent communication skills, especially in a client-facing and solutioning context.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
Nice-to-Haves
Odoo certifications
Experience in vertical-specific implementations (e.g., manufacturing, retail, services)
Exposure to global delivery models and remote team management
