Role Overview
We’re seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)/QA who will be instrumental in driving high-quality releases through automation and testing best practices. You'll work closely with the product, design, and engineering teams to ensure that every feature works seamlessly for our users.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks for web and mobile platforms.
Collaborate with developers to design testable code and identify risks early in the development lifecycle.
Build and manage CI/CD test pipelines to ensure continuous delivery with high confidence.
Write and maintain comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test data for functional, integration, performance, and regression testing.
Perform manual exploratory testing for critical features and new releases as needed.
Track and report quality metrics, and help diagnose and resolve test failures.
Own the end-to-end quality process across multiple product teams.
Advocate for a culture of engineering excellence, quality, and testability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of experience in software testing or QA automation.
Proficient in writing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent.
Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and agile practices.
Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Knowledge of mobile testing for Android/iOS is a plus.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA, and test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a startup environment.
Good to Have
Experience working in fintech, gaming, or consumer-facing platforms.
Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Security testing experience is a bonus.
