Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a WordPress Developer, based in Jammu, with some work-from-home flexibility. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining WordPress websites, working on both front-end and back-end development tasks. Key responsibilities include building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring responsive web design, optimizing website performance, updating website content, and collaborating with the design and marketing teams to enhance user experience.
Qualification
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development
Skills in Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design
Experience with Web Design and Web Development
Strong understanding of WordPress, including theme and plugin development
Ability to work in a hybrid work environment (Jammu and remote)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Relevant experience in a similar role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain our WordPress-based website (e-commerce & storytelling).
Implement custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
Optimize site speed, responsiveness, and SEO performance.
Collaborate with the creative, product, and marketing teams to bring content and campaigns to life digitally.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or technical issues.
Ensure site security and regular backups.
Implement and manage updates and upgrades as needed.
Requirements
2–4 years of WordPress development experience (agency or startup experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce.
Familiarity with website performance optimization tools and practices.
Knowledge of version control (Git), SEO principles, and responsive design.
Creative eye for layout, aesthetics, and UX.
Bonus: Knowledge of blockchain/web3 integrations and content animation tools.
