About the Role
GCP Data Engineer (Contractual)
We are hiring experienced GCP Data Engineers for a 1 year contractual position with client of Smart Source. The role offers exciting opportunities to work on innovative projects and the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position based on performance.
Location:
Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai
5-day work from office
Contractual Job:
Duration: 1 Year
Shift: UK Shift
Salary: ₹1,00,000/month (includes 10% TDS; TDS deducted monthly with certificate issued at the end of the tenure)
Salary credited by 18th or 20th of the month
No PF, no gratuity

Candidates open to working from the office (5 days/week)
Freelancers and moonlighters are welcome
Relevant Experience: 5+ years in mandatory skills
Mandatory Skills:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

IAM/VM (Good to have)
On-premises to GCP migration (Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines on GCP.
Implement data processing solutions using Dataproc, PySpark, and Java/Python/PySpark.
Develop data models and analytics queries using BigQuery.
Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to integrate and transform data.
Ensure high data quality, validation, and monitoring.
Participate in code reviews, deployment activities, and production support.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with GCP services, including Dataproc and BigQuery.
Proficient in PySpark and Java for building distributed data processing pipelines.
Experience in developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with data governance and security practices in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
