About the Role
Role Overview
As a Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the platform's
development. You’ll lead a team of 4-5 developers, overseeing backend and
frontend feature implementation, database design, and team mentoring. The role
requires deep expertise in JavaScript technologies, strong leadership skills, and a
solution-driven approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Development
○ Build and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js with
frameworks like NestJS.
○ Develop user-friendly, responsive frontend interfaces using React.js,
Redux Toolkit, and React Router v6.
○ Design and optimise MongoDB (NoSQL) and MySQL (SQL)
database schemas, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
○ Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) processes for real-time
updates and synchronisation.
2. Team Leadership
○ Manage a team of 4-5 developers, ensuring timely delivery of feature
goals.
○ Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and uphold coding
standards.
○ Foster collaboration within the team and guide them in adopting
best practices.
3. Feature Solutioning
○ Translate product requirements into technical solutions using
mockup tools like Excalidraw.
○ Collaborate with product and design teams to define features and
deliver functional prototypes.
4. Problem-Solving and Optimization
○ Debug, optimise, and enhance existing systems for better
performance and scalability.
○ Proactively identify technical challenges and provide innovative
solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
● JavaScript Expertise: Strong proficiency in Node.js, React.js, and their
ecosystems.
● Backend Frameworks: Hands-on experience with NestJS or similar
frameworks.
● Frontend Tools: Familiarity with Redux Toolkit, React Router v6, and
responsive design principles.
● Database Skills: Proficient in MongoDB (NoSQL) and MySQL (SQL)
schema design and modelling.
● Real-Time Systems: Knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC) processes.
● Team Leadership: Proven experience in managing and mentoring
development teams.
● Solutioning: Ability to communicate technical ideas using tools like
Excalidraw or similar.
● Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, collaboration, and
communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience in developing SaaS platforms or marketplace applications.
● Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps practices.
● Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and microservices architecture.
