Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Test Automation Engineer to join our Automated Warehouse Solutions department. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks with a focus on the seamless integration of complex software components across distributed systems.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in software testing and automation, particularly within Agile environments, and brings a collaborative mindset to improving overall system quality. Experience in the logistics or warehousing domain is considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and improve automated test scripts using BDD frameworks (e.g., Gherkin) to validate integration points between different modules or systems.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable test code to ensure maintainability and scalability.
Apply best practices in test automation, including naming conventions, modular code structure, and test data management.
Identify, analyze, and investigate defects or integration anomalies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution.
Work closely with developers, QA engineers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Scrum Masters to understand technical requirements, project deadlines, and integration objectives.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing and development lifecycle.
Build robust and maintainable test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines and aligned with cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development and/or automated testing.
Practical experience in integration and system testing in complex software environments.
Proficient in at least one programming language: C# or Java.
Demonstrated experience with API Testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
Hands-on experience in UI automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
Working knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin) for behavior-driven testing.
Familiarity with cloud-based environments such as Azure or AWS.
Experience with Git (Bitbucket), JIRA, Quality Center (QC), Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Flux or equivalent), and Kafka.
Experience in Agile environments; knowledge of SAFe methodology is advantageous.
ISTQB certification is preferred.
Domain knowledge in logistics or warehousing is a plus.
