About the Role
Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be
responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects across diverse teams. Your primary focus
will be on developing efficient processes, executing effective strategies, and ensuring the timely
completion of projects.
- As an Tech Lead, you will be Architecting and tuning both SQL and NoSQL database for handling
scale/high transaction volume.
- Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have particular impact
across your team.
- Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity.
- Exert influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of your team.
- Experience with performance and optimization problems, particularly at large scale, and a
demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems.
- Help to define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a
high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
- Represent Zupee and its values in public communication around broader initiatives, specific
projects, and community contributions.
- Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers on your team to help them grow in their
technical responsibilities and remove blockers to their autonomy.
- Confidently ship moderately sized features and improvements with minimal guidance and support
from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of languages (JavaScript, Python) and frameworks/systems (nodejs)
- Strong analytical skills and aptitude
- Understanding of data architecture, software design and best coding practices
- Ability to learn new languages and technologies
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Working knowledge of Linux.
- Familiarity with open source frameworks/libraries used in building RESTful services and
distributed systems.
- Good experience with architecting and tuning both SQL and NoSQL database for handling
scale/high transaction volume
