Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to work on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem and be confident in building custom websites and custom plugins from scratch.
This is a project-based and task-based opportunity, so we are looking for developers who can take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop fully custom WordPress websites tailored to client needs
Build custom WordPress plugins with clean, secure, and efficient code
Modify and extend existing themes and plugins as required
Optimize website performance, SEO structure, and mobile responsiveness
Troubleshoot and fix bugs and compatibility issues
Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other developers
Ensure best practices in WordPress security, scalability, and performance
Requirements:
3–5 years of strong WordPress development experience
Deep knowledge of WordPress core, themes, plugins, hooks, filters, and REST API
Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS, and MySQL
Experience creating and integrating custom post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, etc.
Ability to build custom plugins from scratch
Familiarity with Git, deployment tools, and staging environments
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and time management skills
Nice to Have:
Experience with Elementor, ACF, WooCommerce, WPML, or similar tools
Understanding of basic UI/UX principles
Experience working with APIs and third-party integration
