About the Role
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and manage software on Windows and Linux/Unix systems in an offshore setup.
• Support in-house and custom application deployments, ensuring high availability and system performance.
• Collaborate with onshore Agile teams to resolve infrastructure, deployment, and architecture-related issues.
• Plan and execute software upgrades, patching, and release deployments.
• Handle system backups, restoration, and ensure consistent system image management.
• Monitor and maintain system health, performance, and data integrity across environments.
• Coordinate with vendors for third-party software installations and troubleshooting.
• Integrate new tools and technologies as part of ongoing platform evolution and support.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of proven experience with Windows Server and Linux/Unix system administration.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle databases, including performance monitoring and tuning.
• DevOps experience is mandatory – including expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration of container-based applications.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell, PowerShell, or related tools for automation.
• Solid understanding of OS-level security policies, compliance practices, and system hardening.
• Hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments, including EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC.
