About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal AI Engineer to join our GenAI team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in generative AI, particularly large language models (LLMs), transformers, and neural networks. This role focuses on designing, developing, fine-tuning, and deploying advanced generative AI systems to deliver innovation across diverse business scenarios. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance existing AI models, ensuring performance, scalability, and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
Identify client challenges and propose innovative AI/GenAI solutions, primarily leveraging Azure and OpenAI capabilities.
Conduct functional and process design, prototyping, testing, training, and establish robust support procedures in partnership with data engineering and leadership teams.
Design, build, and fine-tune generative AI models across applications such as NLP, computer vision, and other advanced analytics scenarios.
Fine-tune and optimize large language models and open-source pre-trained transformers utilizing cloud and distributed computing environments.
Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to integrate AI models effectively into existing products, services, and platforms.
Develop robust APIs and scalable interfaces to ensure seamless deployment and operation of generative AI solutions.
Provide technical and managerial leadership to a team dedicated to delivering AI solutions and product development.
Partner with external institutions, research centers, and universities to explore and implement groundbreaking AI research initiatives.
Ensure all AI solutions adhere to data privacy regulations, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in machine learning and generative AI.
Knowledge & Experience:
Mandatory:
6+ years of professional experience in AI, ML, Deep Learning, or related fields.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, or related disciplines (Ph.D. preferred).
Proven expertise in generative AI models, including large language models and frameworks such as OpenAI.
Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
Deep understanding of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and neural network design.
Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling, algorithmic techniques, linear algebra, and probability theory.
Hands-on experience processing and managing large-scale datasets with efficient coding practices.
Demonstrated capability in program leadership, governance, and facilitating change management.
Desirable:
Experience with Azure Data & AI services.
Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLFlow, Azure MLOps).
Ability to creatively solve complex problems under resource constraints.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage C-Level executives.
