Location: Nashik, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Experience: 7+ years of experience handling Linux kernel development, Networking and virtualization engineering.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a technically sound, Linux Kernel virtuoso with a passion for high-performance virtualization systems? We’re looking for a Kernel Engineer / Hypervisor Admin to join our elite ESDS Autonomous Cloud team and lead the charge in designing and optimizing next-gen infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineer and optimize the KVM hypervisor for performance, security, and advanced virtualization features.
Customize Linux kernel modules and manage OS-level systems (yum, apt, rpm, deb).
Integrate with tools like cloud-init, VM formats (qcow2, vmdk), and ensure high availability in clustered environments.
Drive virtual networking using Open vSwitch, VXLAN, L2/L3 routing, and SDN.
Collaborate with DevOps teams using GitLab, Jira, Kubernetes, and IaC tools.
Innovate with AIOps, MLOps, and hardware virtualization acceleration technologies.
Champion system hardening, security compliance, and performance tuning.
What You Bring:
7+ years of experience in networking and virtualization engineering.
Expertise in Linux kernel development, KVM, and virtualization internals.
Proficiency in C, Python, Go.
Familiarity with OpenStack, AWS/GCP/Azure, and clustering/HA systems.
Deep knowledge of networking protocols, OSI model, SDN, and storage protocols like iSCSI/NFS.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and container ecosystems.
