🔧 Role Overview:
As a Storage & Backup Engineer, you'll design, implement, and manage enterprise-level storage and backup systems. You’ll ensure data availability, integrity, and performance across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain storage and backup solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage).
Manage enterprise backup technologies (e.g., Veeam, NetBackup, Commvault).
Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability.
Automate routine tasks using scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Perform data recovery testing and maintain disaster recovery plans.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams on storage strategies.
Ensure compliance with data retention and backup policies.
📌 Requirements:
3–5+ years of experience in storage and backup administration.
Strong knowledge of storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage).
Proficient in backup platforms like Veeam, Commvault, or Rubrik.
Hands-on experience with VMware, Windows/Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Scripting experience for automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
