About the Role
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Data Security Engineer to build, manage, and optimize enterprise-level data security controls. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools like BigID, Microsoft Purview, and Palo Alto, and should be proficient in scripting, automation, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and improve data security controls (Data Discovery, Classification)
Implement and manage security policies using tools like BigID, Purview, Palo Alto
Govern and monitor auditing/logging across cloud databases
Automate manual tasks using Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages
Manage API integrations and security connectors
Tune and maintain configuration/policies across the enterprise
Support security incidents and collaborate with CSIRT & SOC teams
Translate infrastructure needs into Terraform code for DevSecOps workflows
Maintain and document governance procedures and runbooks
Required Skills:
5+ years in Data Security/Protection
2+ years of hands-on experience with BigID, Purview, Palo Alto
Experience in SaaS technologies and services
Proficient in scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.)
Familiar with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong understanding of Data Classification and Security Best Practices
Experience in policy creation for enterprise-scale environments
Migration experience with data classification tools
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong client focus and stakeholder management
Strategic thinker with good judgment and decision-making ability
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure
