About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Linux System Engineer to join our ANZ Compute & Storage team. The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our Red Hat server infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our systems. You will work closely with development, database administration, security, production operations, and other internal teams to support our applications and services.
What You Will Do
Manage and montior our server infrastructure
Install, configure and maintain linux servers in both on-premise and cloud environments (eg. AWS, Google Cloud)
Regular system updates, patch management & security hardening
Help development, database administration and operations teams troubleshoot and resolve OS, software and network related issues
Automate and script routine tasks to improve operational efficiency
Manage and deploy infrastucture as code
What Experience You Need
3-5+ years of hands-on experience as a Linux System Engineer or in a similar role
Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu).
Knowledge and experience of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with virtualisation and containerisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker)
