About the Role
We're hiring a skilled Data Engineer (5–8 years of experience) to support our client in the InsurTech sector, based in Dubai. This is a fully remote role on a 12-month extendable contract, offering the opportunity to work on high-impact projects in the insurance technology space.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing
data workflows, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our data infrastructure, primarily using Python, SQL, and AWS cloud technologies
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Extendable)
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Python and SQL.
Work with data scientists, analysts, and backend engineers to deliver clean, well-structured, and reliable datasets.
Leverage AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Athena) for data processing and storage.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance of data infrastructure.
Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices across platforms.
Participate in the design and implementation of data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
Requirements:
At least 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
Strong expertise in Python for data processing and automation.
Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation and querying.
Proven experience with AWS data stack, such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and Athena.
Experience working with modern data platforms, data lakes, and data warehouses.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
