Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Tech Lead (Backend) who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and high-performance systems. You will lead the backend engineering team for one of our core product verticals, guiding system architecture, development, deployment, and performance at scale.
This is a leadership role with significant ownership and impact—ideal for engineers who want to build cutting-edge SaaS products in the AI space while mentoring high-performing teams.
What You’ll Do
Own the architecture, design, and delivery of core backend modules powering our GenAI products
Build and scale microservices and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI/Django) and PHP
Collaborate with product managers, AI researchers, and frontend teams to integrate ML models into production
Lead data architecture decisions including use of relational (MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB/Vector DBs) databases
Optimize backend for performance, availability, and security in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Manage code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce engineering best practices
Ensure high test coverage, continuous integration, and zero-downtime deployments
Participate in decision-making across infrastructure, DevOps, and system scaling strategies
Translate product vision into technical deliverables with crisp execution

What We’re Looking For
4–8 years of backend engineering experience, with 2+ years in technical leadership roles
Strong experience building and scaling SaaS or B2B platforms
Solid command of Python and/or PHP, with proven backend architecture expertise
Prior experience integrating AI/ML pipelines or working with GenAI is a strong plus
Familiarity with vector databases, Langchain, RAG, and real-time APIs is preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects end-to-end
Excellent problem-solving, team management, and communication skills
Tier 1/Tier 2 engineering background (IIT, BITS, NITs or equivalent preferred)
