DETAILS JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

• We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mid-Level Node.js Developer to contribute to
the development of high-performance, scalable web applications. You will work closely with
senior engineers and cross-functional teams to implement backend systems that support AI-
based search experiences, user journeys, and third-party integrations including MapBox and
Single Sign-On (SSO) systems.
• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance Node.js applications.
• Contribute to backend architecture and microservices with guidance from senior developers.
• Implement and integrate RESTful APIs and support feature delivery with frontend and DevOps
teams.
• Work on AI-enhanced search features and integrate with tools like MapBox and SSO
authentication systems.
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving performance or integration issues.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews and shared documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend development trends, frameworks, and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

PRIMARY SKILLS

• Strong experience with building RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures.
• Extensive knowledge of backend frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Koa.js).
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with TypeScript for building type-safe Node.js
applications.
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL), including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable systems.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong proficiency with version control systems (Git).
• Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills..

SECONDARY SKILLS (IF ANY)

• Familiarity with Jest or similar tools for backend testing.
• Exposure to Redis and Elasticsearch for caching and search capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile teams using tools like Jira or Trello.
• Awareness of backend security best practices and authentication protocols.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED (IF ANY)

• Certification in relevant skills will be considered an added advantage
