Role Description
The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing methodologies. This role involves test planning, execution, and automation, working closely with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to maintain high software quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Execution:
Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for enterprise applications.
Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure product quality.
Validate system configurations and customisations within enterprise applications.
Automation Testing:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools.
Identify opportunities for test automation and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Performance and Security Testing:
Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system stability under varying conditions.
Validate security features and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Defect Tracking and Resolution:
Identify, document, and track software defects using Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar tools.
Work closely with developers to reproduce, prioritise, and resolve issues.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements based on test findings.
Stay updated on the latest testing methodologies and tools to enhance QA processes.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
Testing Methodologies:
Strong understanding of software testing principles and best practices.
Experience in manual and automated testing of enterprise applications.
Automation Tools:
Experience with Selenium, TestCafe, or other test automation frameworks.
Knowledge of Power Automate for testing workflows is a plus.
Defect Tracking & CI/CD:
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar tools for defect tracking.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their impact on testing.
Database & APIs:
Ability to validate data using SQL queries.
Experience in testing APIs using Postman or similar tools.
Experience:
3+ years in Quality Assurance, with a focus on testing enterprise applications.
Experience in testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) solutions is preferred.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to testing.
Certifications (preferred):
ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate.
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate.
